name: matteo salvini
country: italy
occupation: representative at the italian and european parliament
political party: Lega Nord (strongest allies of berlusconi), of which he's chairman at the town hall of Milan
known also for: having suggested the planning of separated subway sections for the immigrants, in Milan

here's the song, translated, that he sings at his party's feast:

"smell the stink / even the dogs run away
people from naples are coming this way
they've got choler and are earthquaked
they never washed themselves with some soap"

here's the video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvfD9fEAW28

many reactions this morning from the opposition parties, expecially southern politicians.
but no comments from the government so far.
i doubt there'll be any.

no more.

ciao DUers.

mr salvini declared that it was not about politics, just rehearsing songs sung at the soccer stadium, when Naples team comes to play.
(soccer stadiums that in italy are not public places with laws, rules and fairness - but coliseums where no rules are and every political leader is allowed to give his best, apparently.)

for the government speaks mr La Russa, our Foreign Minister (former AN, rightists and with no sympathy for the allied Lega Nord).
sure he was joking, La Russa said. it would be enough for him to beg pardon and it would be over.

The Lega Nord leader, mr. Bossi, on the opposition's request for resigning said it's all bullshit. salvini should resign only because he sings terribly.

enough now. just a glimpse of an italian political summer day, to whom it may interest.
not bad, eh? remember that scene of the titanic about to crash and sink while smart people on board went on dancing unaware?

ciao

4. Uggghhhhh
Sounds like a drunk football fan - but much worse, as he's got real power.

And our Tories are in the same EU group....

5. yep. salvini resigned yesterday...
...as italian parliamentary. but he said it is not related to the accident, it was already planned.

he will stay europarliamentary, among other italian politicians worth 144000€ x year, the best paid in europe. public money, italian money - one thing about italy that mr salvini does not dislike i suppose.

ah, and our representatives in europe have an average of 1 on 3 absences from parliament works. they get the money without even appearing there.

do not complain too much about your parties there :), compared to what i have here...

ciao!
