7. No, Cspan simply turns on the camera, it is the guest who is shameless |
|
And you get to watch her lie on camera and as a consequence of that you now understand with clairity what the Galen Institute, and its President (Ms. Turner) really are. That is what C-Span is all about, letting you see the truth with your own eyes, for the good and for the bad.

9. It's Also Very Disengenuous |
|
Especially as of late as CSPIN has been loading up their talk shows with right wing spinners...rarely ever disclosing who they really are. We hear of the insurance companies spending $4 million a day...here's that money at work. For every half hour with Henry Waxman, you get 2 hours of some corporate sockpuppet to spew their lies and spin. Fortunately there are callers who can see through this crap...the CSPIN hosts sure don't.

12. You raise a good point but CSPan is more interested |
|
in the agenda of its cable companies than with the truth. The real truth is that they have been exposed as corporate hacks.

5. So Much For "We're Having A Liberal On Today" |
|
I loved it yesterday when callers jumped all over Rob about the constant parade of right wing "think tanks" who CSPIN can't find enough of these days. You know there's gotta be a quid pro quo going on here. CSPIN and its cable big brother corporates fear regulation...and if major industries like insurance and big pharma are reigned in, could cable re-regulation be next?
So she wants competition without competition...the typical horror bullshit that isn't flying with the public. The problem is that CSPIN, if they give any voice to single-payer or public option, it's 30 minutes to 3 hours of these AEI, Galen Institute, Hemmorage Institute and more of Brian Lamb's pals.

14. This Meme Needs To Be Beat Down... |
|
Many people...especially here on DU...think CSPIN is like PBS or other public broadcasters. They aren't. They mask the money in saying they are a "public service OF the cable companies"...kinda like having seat belts in a car is a "public service" of the automakers.
These stations are funded by large cable corporates along with the major networks to dominate cable systems...to hide behind "public service" in pushing their corporate agenda. Their bias is rarely discussed, except for a few of us morning goofies, and others should see it as it's happening.
Good morning to you...guess I had too much coffee again this morning...LOL. I'm preparing for Jackofest. LOL

15. I liked the e-mailer who stated (and I freely paraphrase): |
|
"Yeah, the 'free-market' healthcare system has done such a wonderful job so far, hasn't it?"
Her answer (to everything, it seems): "Less regulation, less regulation!"
And, to their credit, many of the callers aren't buying it anymore.

17. I wish callers would ask hacks like her about |
|
the post office v Fed Ex and DHL or house insurance v FEMA insurance.
Bottom line - Madame Galen wants no competition for the health for profit industry or she and the rest of them would not be spending so much money to kill it.
