'I Am Not a Quitter,' Palin Says
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (July 7) -- Sarah Palin's not a quitter, she wants the public to know.
"I am not a quitter. I am a fighter," Palin told CNN on Monday while on a family fishing trip, on the heels of her Friday bombshell announcement that she was resigning as Alaska's governor.

<snip>
Friday was "deliberately chosen" for the announcement because of its proximity to the July Fourth holiday, Van Flein said: "She declared her independence from politics as usual."
Palin reiterated that statement in her interview.

Rep. Les Gara, an Anchorage Democrat and a frequent Palin critic, said everyone was "wildly surprised" by Palin's announcement. "A lot of us were pretty disappointed in the concept that she can't finish out a governor's term," Gara said. Palin's resignation speech was "kind of similar to everything that has gone wrong since the governor has gotten back from her vice presidential campaign," Gara said.

<snip>
Despite leaving office about two-thirds of the way through her term, Palin "is not a quitter," Van Flein said. He added that she "already accomplished her major goals," including winning legislative approval for a massive natural gas pipeline.

But Ramras, who calls himself "a pro-development, conservative Republican," called that assertion "crazy." Though the pipeline project won approval in the state Legislature, Alaska has yet to establish a "durable and predictable" financial structure that will get producers to commit to the plan.

"Anyone who thinks we've started anything is delusional. ... What she did was she created a Gordian knot and then handed it off to someone else," he said.

Ha! Even 60% of her AOL fanbase thinks she's a quitter!

4. No Sarah, no matter how you want to package it--YOU ARE A QUITTER
You have a year and a half of your term as governor left (your first term, no less) and you are resigning for no good reason. So you are a quitter.

26. Wait unitl she finds out that her primary opponents will be doing opposition research
sooner than later if they have any reason to believe that she will run for 2012.

I want to hear Palin dismiss her fellow Republian office-seekers for practicing "politics as usual" when they start taking aim at her.

then why would she want to be president of the whole country? What one thing does she have planned to do as president, I wonder? Institute a theocracy? I doubt she knows what those words mean.

15. The tragic thing is there are a lot of Shittoheads who will believe whatever she says.

I don't know if it's more tragic or downright hilarious that some people can be so completely gullible.

It happened before and I suppose it could happen again. Fifty-nine million idiots voted for a fellow idiot

for President, not once but twice. So it looks like there are always enough lemmings to go around.

17. She "accomplished her major goals"...hmmm
That sounds just like what Matt Blunt, the prior republican Governor of Missouri, said when he mysteriously announced he wasn't going to run for a second term last year. They're just two selfless civil servants walking away from a job well done. Oh no, not at all interested in continuing a career in politics, even though both were in the realm of VP status (Little Mattie was Mitt Romney's buddy and was often mentioned as possible running mate).

Look Sarah, nobody here believed that BS when Blunt said it, so get a clue.

20. Sarah Palin is not a quitter.
She is working diligently on a lifetime goal to see to it that she remains the center of attention, to punish those who she thinks dislike her, acquire as much wealth as possible and garner as much power and fame as she can while actually expending no actual effort or assuming any responsibility for her actions.

She's making great progress toward achieving the absolute zenith of assholery.
