South Carolina’s political world has been turned upside down S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford’s headline-grabbing sex scandal … and the new rules it has imposed on those of us who cover and comment on Palmetto politics.

Long story short, S.C. politicos are leaking stories left and right in the hopes of airing their rivals’ dirty laundry. And with La Socialista (a.k.a. The State newspaper) printing the intimate emails between the governor and his lover, everything is fair game.

In fact, FITS is chasing several of these stories as we speak …

This blog is run by Sanford's ex chief of staff, who was fired when he was arrested for beating up his girlfriend. He now hates Sanford, but is ultra right wing, and often makes shit up. For instance, he refers to Columbia's State newspaper as La Socialista.

Edited to add: An openly gay woman who came within 3% of upsetting the GOP Congressman in the Charleston area outted Graham (on Firedoglake) along with our Sentate President Pro Tem (the most powerful position in state government, much more so than Governor) and the Lt Gov. So, it could be either one of those.
By the way, the congessional candidate campaigned with her partner, and carried Charleston County. Much different atmosphere than Bob Jones land in the Upstate.

I don't like Will Folks, but a LOT of GOP people still talk to him even though they would swear they don't. He gets a lot more right than he does wrong.

There are probably a lot of guys who went around bragging about how close they were to Sanford, and are now telling their wives "but I hardly knew him."
