I pray to God that Obama and the Democrats are getting paid good |

by the scumbags at HIP (my health insurance company) that are currently fighting like mad to keep me from getting my Rheumatoid Arthritis medication.
My primary health care provider thinks I need the medication. My Rheumatologist thinks I need the medication. I think I need the medication.
The scumbags at HIP know that I need the medication. They are just fighting like mad to keep me off of it for another economic quarter or so. The longer they are able to obstruct my treatment, the better their profit margin is.
I pray to God that Obama and the Democrats are getting paid real good by HIP. At least that is something that I can support.

1. True Story: my aunt had all rheumatoid arthritis diagnoseses changed for insurance |
|
Because RA is a red flag for the companies to start denying.
There are certain conditions that insurance providers make a point to always deny benefits on - - simply because they cost money. AIDS is one, RA is another and Lupus is yet another.
So much that meds had to be chalked up as for "back pain" or something else, lest my aunt get denied.

RA = white blood cells attacking my joints. Thanks for the post. Of course it is perfectly legal (and profitable)for them to do this.

9. They are the central core of health care problems in America. That, and "pre-existing conditions" |
|
The public option must be robust enough that it serves as an alternative to the private plans. Hopefully, the public option will not deny coverage simply because it costs too much.

My own health condition (diagnosed as fibromyalgia and *not* diagnosed as MS for fear of losing self-paid BC/BS health insurance policy) means nearly every treatment is excluded from coverage. My husband and I have $10,000 deductible EACH 70/30 policies which cost us over $700 a month. Because his asthma is excluded and anything they can possibly relate to FMS we have no Rx coverage. No preventative care related to our pre-existing conditions. And yet we pay for non-existent coverage for fear of accidents, heart attacks or cancer. We fear if we don't we'd lose our home. What can we do?
I worked hard to get Obama elected. I am beginning to fear he is giving in to special interests and my small family will be no better off than we were before.

MDMC, I'm smiling because of you. I sure hope Congress will help us instead of caving in as usual.

8. We must ALL continue to write our President, our Reps, our Senators and tell them we |

demand universal, single-payer healthcare--Medicare for all Americans who want it.
Emails, calls, letters. Do not give up.
Your stories are sadly not unusual. Keep the faith, mdmc and others.
