I think he even has her poster up in his room.

1. All of the "pundints" are off base on Sarah.

I don't know why they can't connect the dots and call her like she is -- a congenital pathological liar who never finishes anything she starts. I was laughing my ass off yesterday at the coverage on MSNBC. Even Lawrence O'Donnell was falling for her schtick a little bit.

They do a disservice to the public by not exposing her contradictions.

4. It is amazing how stupid she is.
You would think that someone exposed to so many different situations and people would pick up something. Not necessarily depth of knowledge but at least enough to seem bright.

In the end I think that is why she has to give up. She is simply stupid. If she gets someone else to do her writing for her and doesn't go off track she may be able to keep fooling her base.

5. Eugene Robinson does a good job exposing her, and the media, here:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/06/AR2009070603141.html

"The reasons she gave for stepping down are not just contrived or implausible but literally nonsensical. She can most effectively serve the people of Alaska by ceasing to exercise the powers of chief executive? She worries that as a lame duck she would somehow be compelled to waste taxpayer money on useless junkets? In her "Don't Cry For Me, Alaska" news conference announcing her departure, the folksy non sequiturs -- "Only dead fish go with the flow" -- were like nuggets of Cartesian logic amid a tub of mush.

But I'm stating the obvious. The thing is, Palin's unsuitability for high public office has been obvious all along. Tina Fey got it right; the rest of us were far too reluctant to state plainly that the emperor, or empress, has no clothes.

There are basically two reasons the political class and the commentariat continue to speak and write about Palin as if she were a substantial figure whose presence on the national stage is anything but a cruel, unfunny joke. The first is fear -- not of Palin and her know-nothing legions, but of being painted as elitist and sexist. "

7. It's simple really

The male pundits all think Palin winked at them specifically during the debates and they're enthralled.

Have you noticed how most female pundits see through Palin's fake veneer?

3. did you hear him say last week that the Katie Couric interview
really "wasn't that bad"? Heh. And he said during the whole David Letterman feud that people will remember that she "mentioned the troops" in her acceptance of the apology from Letterman, not the fight with Letterman. Uh, ok. Either his pants are talking, or Politico is just pumping her up so they have tons of trashy gossip to talk about during her campaign.

8. True that

I don't even bother reading anything that comes from them.

I pretty much ignore AP now for the same reason.

9. He always liked her. After the Biden debate, he immediately declared
her the winner. He pretty much walked that back the next day after the debate polls came out showing Biden had won. But, he gushed about palin immediately afterward. Since Obama became pres, he has seemed to be pretty reporting.
