My Nice Post Of The Day about M.J.

I have been pretty blatantly rude and by some with in regards to the passing of Michael Jackson over the past several days. Perhaps I should apologize and then again NOT!!! For me twelve days was a bit much and still I still believe an uncalled circus for but hopefully at sunrise tomorrow the world can wake up to a new day and move on past MJ.

Now on the the NICE part. I believe that MJ was the last of a special group of talented original musicians. Elvis,The Beatles, Hendricks, Nat King Cole, Tina Turner were in the same league as MJ each of them brought an originality of their own to the music scene. Unfortunately today's artist are nothing but spin off copy cats with out the above artist they would have no solid foundation to base their talent on......unfortunately music has not seen anything new and refreshing in the past twenty years plus. Britney...Justin....Jennifer Hudson.....Usher....Greenday....ect and the likes are all copy cats and there is nothing new.

So with this on the day that we as a world community gathered to say goodbye to MJ,my hat is off to MJ...he had something that was unique and his own.

And If I have offended you.....I apologize.


BTW.....Elvis first hit......Love me Tender made its world debut 53 years ago today on a Memphis radio station.

2. Sheila Jackson Leigh

made a wonderful tribute at the memorial service, reminding people that a person in this country has to proven guilty and until then, which never happened in MJ's case, they are innocent. MJ was acquitted on all counts in the trial that a good prosecutor, having investigated the accusers, would never have pursued.

In the first case, a child who had consistently denied that anything bad ever happened, was kidnapped by his ambitious and greedy father and his incredibly ethics-challenged lawyer, and that's putting it mildly (in the middle of a custody battle) and then given a drug, supposedly, according to his dentist father, to have a tooth extracted, known to cause people to become programmable. It was only after that that the child changed his story.

If there had been a winnable case, if the prosecutor believed a crime had been committed, no settlement between the two parties should have prevented him from pursuing the case. Yet, he did not.

Today, the vile Republican Congressman from Nassau Co. LI, Peter King, the same one who predicted a Bush win in Ohio because they were doing the counting, slandered Michael Jackson calling him names I will not repeat here. I hope his family sues him. I believe that was what prompted part of Rep. Sheila Jackson Leigh's comments at the memorial, reminding him of how our system of justice works, something so many Repubs appear to be very ignorant about.

As a result of those tasteless attacks on the day of the funeral from Rep. King, fans of MJ have set up a fundraiser to support someone to run against him next year. It's long past time to remove this man from his comfortable job and elect someone who represents the people and who, hopefully DOES understand our judicial system.
