Will Joe Lieberman now get back control of his "party" again? Party "chair" John Orman dies...

An interesting article in the obituaries that many might not have known about with the other big funerals, etc. going on...

John Orman, who ran against Lieberman earlier before Lamont jumped into the race against him and dropped out later, siezed control of Joe Lieberman's party by joining it and voting himself as chairman of it! :)

Now Orman just died on Sunday. So will Joe have a big party now that he can perhaps get control of his great party again?

Orman, Critic Who Seized Lieberman's Party, Dies At 60
By Associated Press Published on 7/8/2009

This March 15, 2005 file photo shows John Orman , professor of politics at Fairfield University, on campus in Fairfield. Orman died at his home in Trumbull on Sunday.

Trumbull (AP) - John Orman, the Fairfield University professor who seized control of the political party U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman created to help him win re-election in 2006, has died. He was 60.

The university said in a statement issued Monday that Orman's untimely death Sunday night has left the campus in mourning. Orman, of Trumbull, was chairman of the Jesuit university's Department of Politics.

...

After Lieberman's victory as an independent, Orman switched his party affilation from Democrat to Connecticut for Lieberman and voted himself chairman.

Orman had accused Lieberman of creating “a fake political party” to resuscitate his re-election bid for the Senate.

...

Didn't know whether to laugh or cry with this news! RIP John! Your heart was in the right place! :)

Maybe someone else here could follow in his footsteps with another hostile takeover bid of his party before he gets wise to it! :)

2. Still haven't found who if anyone now controls their party...
Sounds like it is still open.

Here's a DKOS thread, as well as a new video post of the original "Connecticut for Lieberman" party meeting by the late John Orman...
