2. The climate scientists know it. Governments saying little to perpetuate their SHAM. |

If you know it's been too late for years now, why put your economy in the way. The challenge for the US and other nations is to make green energy profitable and export the hell out of it.

So, the fate of civilization and a good portion of life on earth is dependent upon some asshole's margin?
This situation is well beyond the capitalists system, which has brought it on in the first place.

6. No, the fate of civilization is sealed. |

The train has left the station. Once a feedback loop is established it moves on it's own. If the US or anyone else wants to commit to Sham targets the least they can do is provide green collar jobs.

10. I don't think it's sealed |

But we're getting uncomfortably close. Since there seems to be very little leadership on the issue, it probably means that we *will* pass the point of no return for civilization. But I don't think that our fate is sealed.

7. The fate of the wealthy is not the fate of humanity. |

Green industry could provide countless jobs as the planet runs down. It's the least irresponsible thing to do. But we've already fallen off the cliff.

Most of them live in cities and know little to nothing about nature. In short, they are going to die in droves.

The only thing people will take as pay (at some point in this catastrophe) is food. Growing food will become a very chancy business that not even the "Masters of the Universe" will be able to control. They simply won't have the food necessary overall, though I'm sure some will get lucky.
They're just as screwed as everyone else --perhaps more so.
