A LGBT online school
I am of decidedly mixed thoughts as to this endeavor. It would literally break my heart of one of my students felt s/he needed this school as it would be a sign of utter failure on my part. But I would support that student in his or her endeavor to get into this school. I know what it was like to attend school as a gay student in an unfriendly enviroment and wouldn't wish it on anyone. It sounds like an interesting endeavor that I hope isn't needed very, very soon.

1. Oh good, the days of begged-for segregation are here at last.
Quite a twist... which will do nothing in the end. Fears are overcome via exposure, getting to really know people, AND moving away from stereotypes and other preconceived notions. Not protection from. (Which is why I rail on any media executives that actively promote them...)

2. That sounds great in theory.
It's a little different when you're the one who's getting bullied and threatened on a daily basis, or the transgendered one who can't use either locker room to change for gym.

3. If it were adults I would be in complete agreement
but these are kids and that makes a large difference. If a kid is getting continually abused at school and the adults won't do something about it, then I think this become necessary.
