I have found one of the causes for the world-wide decline in the bee population...
which has alarmed and mystified researchers for the past several years:





my friend's house:



an 80 pound beehive in the soffit...with 50,000 bees!!



guess she'll be selling honey along with the beer and burgers at her tavern...

And I noticed a bee in my garage this morning. Now I need to get a ladder out and go look in the attic.

7. they had a professional 'bee-hive relocation' expert...
moved the hive and all the bees...i don't know if all went to the same place...but apparently this guy knew what to do and how to do it...

i haven't found out just how they found the guy...i don't think the Yellow Pages has a 'bee removal' category...and this definitely wasn't Orkin...

8. Your county extension office
should have a list of beekeepers who will come out and rehive for you.
