Most Scientists Support Democrats

A new Pew Research report on American attitudes toward science finds that 55% of scientists identify as Democrats, while 32% identify as independents and just 6% say they are Republicans. When the leanings of independents are considered, fully 81% identify as Democrats or lean to the Democratic Party, compared with 12% who either identify as Republicans or lean toward the GOP.

8. Science is a discipline that involves using the spatial and logic centers of the brain...
...the same areas that are used in IQ tests.

People with brains that excel at logic and spatial reasoning tend to gravitate to fields of science.

Hence... people whose brains are wired better for excelling at IQ tests are more likely to be scientists.

9. Well sure; but as Colbert has told us, facts have a liberal bias.
And Dems tend to have this habit of actually respecting science, supporting it even.

10. More Democrats support science
Republicans constantly deride science, Democrats are far more supportive of scientific study.
