BiBi Is Losing It
Obama should've ordered that his speech be mandatory reading in schools? Seems that the narcissism afflicting our politicians isn't limited to our borders.

Netanyahu's paranoia extends to 'self-hating Jews' Emanuel and Axelrod

“At about 3:15 P.M. yesterday, the government's 100th day in office, political correspondents' beepers went off. In an unprecedented move, the Prime Minister's Bureau was inviting the correspondents to a press conference at the Knesset that was slated to begin in 15 minutes. This was the start of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's panicked, disproportionate response to the criticism senior Kadima politicians had leveled at him three hours earlier.” Cont…

Netanyahu appears to be suffering from confusion and paranoia. He is convinced that the media are after him, that his aides are leaking information against him and that the American administration wants him out of office. Two months after his visit to Washington, he is still finding it difficult to communication normally with the White House. To appreciate the depth of his paranoia, it is enough to hear how he refers to Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod, Obama's senior aides: as "self-hating Jews."

"He thought that his speech at Bar-Ilan would become mandatory reading at schools in the United States, and when he realized that Obama gave no such order, he went back to being frustrated," one of his associates said.”

“Behind closed doors, Netanyahu's coalition partners - including Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman - have also expressed shock at his behavior. One senior minister told an aide that he is finding it very difficult to work with the premier. "He drives us mad," the minister said. "Every minute things change, and I am constantly busy doing maintenance on Netanyahu."

3. Not really
with Israels parliamentary system, the finger on the nukes belongs to the Defense Minister.

2. Maybe this could shine some light on the abuse of "anti-semite" as an epithet
Some Likudniks and Likudnik-Americans love to accuse anyone who questions Israel's campaign of genocide as an "anti-Semite"

And of course, when one of those being accused has the audacity to state that they might be Jewish themselves, they are suddenly "self-hating Jews"

5. It's just like any other right-wing moonbattery.
It's projection. If you ask me (and I realize nobody did) the real antisemites and self-hating Jews in this picture are the ones who engage in policy designed to keep Israel in a state of war and fear. You know, Zionists.

6. Agreed - although "zionist" is a loaded term
In its true meaning, it just means one who thinks the state of Israel should exist. That includes me and many others.

Of course, "zionism" has changed to instead refer to what I like to refer to as the Likudnik. Someone who would rather keep Israel in a state of constant war, rather than deal with their neighbors.

7. I agree about the true meaning.
I agree that Likudniks use it in the other sense (and many antisemites these days use it as a euphemism for, well, what they'd really like to say!); but there are still many people who use it in the old sense.

As for Bibi 'losing it' - can you really lose what you've never had??!!!

8. Your clarification is noted.
Likudniks, they are. The people of Israel are moderate, so how does the RW manage to hold power? Sequoia?

9. So True About The Term
I knew and supported the original meaning. How did it happen? And how is it when most of a country is moderate that the hardliners keep being put in charge. I'm also wondering if BiBi's meltdown is due to the corruption of power. It's not very long ago that he was referring to Obama as a pushover, yet he's the one who is losing his grip.

10. When Avigdor Lieberman thinks you're crazy, you're probably crazier than Avigdor Lieberman.
And that's some serious motherfuckin' CRAZY.
