I've been disliking this guy since back when the Repubs held the Senate and he was the budget chairman. He actually asked Reid to submit his name to Obama for Commerce Sec. I was so relieved when he pulled out.

Did everyone see the Repubs trying to strike the public option in the Health Care markup? The public option is now officially part of the health care package. This is the tenth day of the HC markup and I've been watching most of it. You can see all the tactics the Repubs bring up in amendments to derail the public option in favor of the private insurers. At least we know now that the public option will be in the bill when it reaches the Senate floor.
