and has the mausleum to prove it.

Not sure why he waited to see what Lisa Madigan decided, but at least this puts to rest the tainted career of Roland Burris.

it would have been ludicrous for him to run.

he was given the seat as gracious way to say goodbye after a long term of public service, and he was just a placeholder- he was never meant to seek re-election.
