Why did the CIA briefers deceive those members of Congress at that time?

1. Other=They were breaking US federal law, or their revealing their

activities to Congress would have provided evidence that Bush signed a finding that reversed a previous one (for example, the "no assassination" clause).

to take actions considered "beneficial" to the US. Not likely, but not impossible, either.

If you'd told me ten or more years ago that in my lifetime, the Supreme Court would have picked the winner of a Presidential contest, I'd never have believed that, either.

They have no legitimate purpose, and they have NEVER operated in the interests of the American people. Harry Truman called them a "tool of Wall Street bankers" and that's exactly what they are. Specifically the same Wall Street Bankers that funded Hitler - The Bush Crime Family and their partners.
