LOL. Not really... This is actually another unrec post!



Why, in my opnion, unrec fucks up communication.

So we have this post:

Clearly, there are a some that endorse it openly. It is also a post that for those who endorse it, do not need to elaborate. It is eloquent. It speaks for itself. Those that agree with it will rec it and, given the responses, they feel there is nothing more to add.

But, this post has seven votes and only 3 recs. That means 2 people have been given the opportunity to hide their disapproval. Without discussion and without dialog. Without those 2 unrecs, this post would have made the greatest page and have engendered more eyes and more discussion.

But more important, to me, is that 2 people were able to take it off the greatest page with zero input. They were able to register their dissent on a political discussion board without any challenge.

For all I know, or any other DUers know, the unrec folks may simply dislike the OP. And that is one danger of the unrec feature.
