Had an interesting conversation with an ex-conservative the other day
Young kid. Mid 20s. First year teacher. Said he had gone to school in Iowa and graduated with a degree in political science. Part of his coursework was working on campaigns and that led to an offer to work for a conservative think tank in DC when he graduated. He was there for 2 years.

He said those people were "crazy". "If it isn't about Jesus they don't want to hear it."

After 2 years he had to get out. He said he was a Christian but "you aren't going to reach all the voters or all your constituents if everything is about Jesus".

Said he had voted for Obama and now he really likes Ron Paul. (I'll try to work on that :) )

6. If he likes Ron Paul, he hasn't fully seen the light yet!
But glad that he's starting to think about it.

2. Old people are fading away, as they should-
and young people, more with good ideas than not, are taking over. I can't remember the last time I met a young person that was a conservative who wasn't a jesus freak. The Ron Paul thing? I dunno, it kind of appeals to the natural rebellion that is youth.

3. thanks for the report
It is telling when a Christian sees that these zealots have gone over the top. IMHO they are destroying Christianity.
