Commentators and pundits are having sport with the illicit affair publicly announced on June 16th by two-term Nevada Senator John Ensign and then pelted constantly with new sordid allegations. Fellow Examiner Vincent Bordini compares Ensign to the Breck Girl. Jorge Luna says that Ensign is paving the road to hell. Karen Harper says Ensign should resign. Karen and I are on opposite ends of the political spectrum, so what you are witnessing here is a rare bipartisan coalition.

Despite some perceptions to the contrary, most conservatives care not a whit what people do in the privacy of their bedrooms. However, when a politician is caught out as an immoral hypocrite in private, it is inescapable that the same must be true in public. Such cynical and deceitful actions prove a manipulative megalomaniac, unworthy of the public trust.

Whatever the facts of the Ensign saga, it is clear that the senator abused his considerable power and exhibited craven hypocrisy. His continued presence in the GOP eminates a putrid stench, and we have problems enough without having to deal with the likes of him.

1. Vitter's prostitutes weren't married, so it's O.K.?
Or it is just the fact that they were prostitutes?

Obviously the Republics have no issue with shitty diapers, but I'm having a problem discerning just where they draw the line.

From now on, all (R)s in Congress must take an abstinence pledge. Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!
