Tell Rep. Mike Ross and the "Blue Dogs" that blocking Healthcare is a REALLY BAD IDEA for a Democrat
Edited on Fri Jul-10-09 10:52 AM by berni_mccoy
Here's his facebook wall. http://www.facebook.com/RepMikeRoss#/RepMikeRoss?v=wall Write on it and let him know that his and the other 51 "blue dog democrats" attempts to block the Healthcare bill in Congress won't bode well for him come election time. He and the other 51 "democrats" decided to spring a surprise list of demands on their fellow Democrats in the house who are trying to pass a Healthcare reform bill that includes a Public Option. Additionally, they are the ones wanting to sabotage any reform with insane demands as taxing healthcare benefits. Let him know what real Democrats think about this.

1. A Democrat should be a Democrat no matter

what color they want to use. I am so sick of these people who think we don't need REAL health care.

And Lincoln Davis should be whipped with a Cat O' Nine Tails.

3. LOL, I sure hope this wasn't a post by a DUer (read a post on Ross's Facebook page)
"Wal-Mart offers health coverage for associates and spouses starting at 30 bucks every two weeks. This is exceptionally economical, and includes the associate's choice of $300 before deductible, or $500 or $750. This saves my wife and more nearly $3,000 a year over insurance offered to state of Arkansas employees or most other employers. This great coverage has not been publicized by the news media or labor unions, but it's at walmartbenefits.com. Kudos to Wal-Mart; this is the type coverage the working class needs. It would be irresponsible for politicians to craft a law ending coverage such as what my wife and I have. Thanks to the Blue Dogs for following their conscience." -- Lewis Delavan

4. Bwahaha! It was *the* Lewis Delavan who worked on Jay Dickey's campaign
Jay Dickey lost to Ross in 2000 and 2002. Now Delavan is there spreading rw-propaganda about Wal-Mart on Ross's page.

Here's a bit on on Delavan here: http://www.hsvvoice.com/news/2006/0517/Front_page/004.html

excerpt: "Delavan served as press secretary and director of research for the Jay Dickey congressional campaign in 2002 and as a scheduling co-ordinator for the Winston Bryant attorney general campaign in 1994."

5. But is it true?
Does Walmart really offer what he says it does or does this insurance also deny tons of coverage and refusal to pay for women's services?

What's the truth about Wally World's insurance plan? Anyone know?

6. For goodness sakes, no. Here are the real facts about Wal-Mart's benefits
http://wakeupwalmart.com/facts/

Wal-Mart has even admitted that public healthcare plan would be better.

7. Lol! He says Wal-Mart health benefits "are perfect for us"
"Unions have never been able to organize any U.S. Wal-Mart store in part because of the health benefits that are offered. No propaganda; just fact. W-M offers other health options, but this one is perfect for us."

8. Please note that Loretta Sanchez has changed her position...
Don't know if she's still too "Blue Dog" on many other issues and still deserves to have her feet held to the fire or not, but one should give her credit for switching to the proper side of the issue here!
