Everyone dances around the real problem: we have a number of posters who will start a new thread on a topic when there are already a dozen such threads on the board, and the only reason they do that is self aggrandizement.

Want to limit stupid threads? Ration thread starting.

9. I agree. That worked well. Some people like to start too many threads.

Any time I see the same name appear too many times as a thread starter, I wonder how anyone can look at the board and think "I know there are 27 threads on this topic already, but MINE isn't there yet!"
