Pardon me, but isn't the whole thread rating thing SERIOUSLY challenged by the fact that |
|
you can put all kinds of people on Ignore, so they won't see your threads and, hence, will not be able to un-recommend them?
Members can have their own private little DU where they preach to and are rewarded by their own cliques and can read and reward other cliques.
Am I right or wrong about this?

1. If *you* put someone on ignore, you miss their threads, but they see yours. |
|
Unless *they* put you on their ignore list.

4. Okay, I almost never use Ignore, so I have it backwards. Nevermind. |
|
My apologies, All. Carry on.

11. I have put one or two on briefly and then dumped it soon afterward. |
|
I don't understand the idea of not wanting to see what's going on.

I won't ignore you for it.
Only have a total of three folks on ignore, but the feature has kept my blood pressure down.

2. It also means if you have a person on ignore you can't unrecommend their post. |
|
Which I find kind of humorous.

10. When I have put people on ignore (it is VERY rare)... |
|
I don't see their threads or responses, I believe they can still see mine unless they have me on ignore. I stand to be corrected if I am wrong on this. If both posters have each other on ignore then neither can recommend or unrecommend each other's threads unless they take whoever off ignore just to recommend or unrecommend.
It seems to me to be a whole hell of a lot of work for something that can ONLY affect what shows up on the Greatest page.
