The only people "harmed" by the unrecommend function are the teenage girls here that use the "Greatest" page as their "Mirror, mirror, on the wall". (and I mean no offense to teenage girls)

Anybody so focused on being one of the "cool kids" on a political forum should probably be seeking counseling.

OCD. One thread isn't enough, two won't do, it must be hundreds of threads about the same issue. (Ok, maybe that's an exaggeration but that's what it feels like when you are trying to hide them all.) Whether the issue is Michael Jackson, Susan Boyle or the unrecommend feature posters can't just post in another thread, NOOOOOOO, they must start their own. And it goes on for days.

As for the unrecommend feature I just really don't give a shit. I pick threads to read by the title. I don't depend on other people to tell me what I will find interesting. I think the whole brouhaha over it is ridiculous but hey, whatever.
