Supermax Prison Calls Obama Books Objectionable
The federal government's most secure prison has determined that two books written by President Barack Obama contain material "potentially detrimental to national security" and rejected an inmate's request to read them.

Ahmed Omar Abu Ali is serving a 30-year sentence at the federal supermax prison in Florence, Colo., for joining Al Qaeda and plotting to assassinate then-President George W. Bush. Last year, Abu Ali requested two books written by Obama: "Dreams from My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope."

1. The title of article should say.
Some guy in some position of control over reading material in a supermax prison, that is probably an angry Republican, decided on his own, to make a statement by making the claim that is in the article.

2. Personally, I believe that if they are in Supermax
They really don't need or have any rights. This particular guy in this story was convicted of plotting to assassinate the president. He is a bad guy and just needs to stfu.

5. My sentiments exactly
They don't put just anyone in the Supermax prisons. The guys in there are the worst of the worst. They're locked down for 23 out of 24 hours each day, they're never moved in groups of more than 1 prisoner at a time, all meals are consumed in their cells, etc. I'm okay with the prison officials having the final say on what amenities the prisoners receive, for whatever reason or no reason at all.

3. THAT is how far removed from reality these kind of prisons are.
Those who run them have no concept of our heritage and rights.
