Poll question: The Dynamic Duo......Which state has the best pair of Senators?

The poll on the worst pair resulted in a landslide for Oklahoma. Which state is most blessed? ..... I'm tempted to root for the home team of Levin/Stabenow, but I've got to give it up for Vermont.

has Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken. Quite proud of both.

it's not 2002. :-(

I'm looking forward to how Franken is going to represent us. :-)

One of the most progressive and one of the most regressive
BTW - I go with Whitehouse and Reed.

33. Nope. Pat Leahy has more clout by quite a bit than either Reed or Whitehouse
and Bernie is the progressive voice in the Senate. And it doesn't end there as far as politicians go. We have a good crop we're growing in the Statehouse and Howard Dean. There's a reason for this: Vermont has the most stringent finance laws in the country and we're tiny- both geographically speaking and population. You can't run away from your constituents here. Hell, even Pat has a listed phone number, and all members of the statehouse have their home phones listed in the legislative directory.

40. She's doing some good work on the Ag Committee in support of Michigan's specialty farmers.
You know, the blueberry, fruit, vegetable, potato and sugar beet people.

Outstate really depends on a lot of these farmers to keep things going and provide some balance to the state's economy.

I'm originally from the asparagus capital of the country, which is in Michigan, and I know from what I speak. Unfortunately, I missed asparagus season this year. There's nothing like fresh-picked asparagus straight from a good friend's field!

With some luck, I'll be back there next week to get me some really *fresh* cherries! To he!! with that stale crap from the west coast that's sold at my area's supermarkets! I want some REAL cherries!!!

41. She didn't care or understand a great deal when she was chosen to
*uck us over with the 05 Bankruptcy Bill, just
because she is in a "safe" state and wasn't up
for re-election in that cycle.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=3560207&mesg_id=3560207

She does good on the whole, but she
dances to the corporate tune when
it strikes up.

Levin is great and Stabenaw (overall) has a pretty good record, but I have to push the button for Kennedy and Kerry ... and then Leahy and Sanders.
