We missed tonight's opening act. Temp was in the low 80's. The the humidity was up. Omaha's riverfront is a perfect setting. We aren't going tomorrow night. I have to work Sunday.

I bought my first Al Jarreau vinyl LP over 30 years ago. Dave Stryker is a grew up in Omaha before making it big in NYC.

We had a wonderful time.

OS (& Marta)

1. Steve, that sounds like a great time...
Al Jarreau is always a great set.
Did he do that "Anyone wanna go dancin' on da rooftop" jam?

His live album and the album he did with David Sanborn are still in my CD player rotation.

God, I'm so old!

But, I know good music when I hear it!

Glad you had a good time bro.
We appreciate everything you do here for us at DU.

6. NO :-)

He did play for over an hour and 1/2. "Sweet Potato Pie" & "Thinking about it too" also didn't get played.

2. Sounds wonderful!
After leaving Creighton years ago, I've not seen the whole Riverfront thing in full effect; guess I left too soon.

I love Al Jarreau - I last saw him with Jeffrery Osborne and let me tell you, I've never heard such sweet soundings.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

3. Love Al Jarreau. You are a lucky dog!
Guess this shows my age, too. I bet a lot of youngun's don't even know who he is.
Maybe they will check him out--due to your post.
