Youth pastor smacked with felony charge of 'accosting a child for immoral purposes'
A 46-year-old Kimball Township man who is a former local youth pastor is facing a felony charge of accosting a child for immoral purposes, a case that involves confiscated computers and electronics from a Clyde Township church, officials said. Craig Coon is due in court for a preliminary hearing at 1:30 p.m. July 21 in front of District Court Judge John Monaghan, said Mike Wendling, St. Clair County Prosecutor.

...The felony warrant said Coon was wanted since he "did accost, entice, or solicit (victim), a child less than 16 years of age, with the intent to induce or force that child to commit an immoral act, to submit to an act of sexual intercourse or an act of gross indecency, or other act of depravity or delinquency, or did encourage the child to engage in one of these acts."

...In 2004, the Times Herald reported about Coon as the leader of The Quest, a contemporary church service that attracted many teenagers and 20-somethings in a casual setting.

"I want to get people to start asking where they are spiritually, what they need to do to start walking with Jesus," Coon said in the article. "We need to get past those stereotypes they hold about church. They're roadblocks to Christianity."

3. It would seem to me that

any road block to Christianity would be a good thing.
How many God fearing, Jesus lovers vs non believers molest children?
Hint, the numbers are way off from the actual numbers of the first vs the numbers of the second. Way off.

4. Dude had a blog
A real pretentious showboater, this one:
Starring through the dark portal my eyes sting again
Exhaustion has invaded my mind and travelled my veins
Dark thoughts invade my sanity stirring a cocktail of despair
The shell that used to be me paces in circles unable to eat or think
I am the leper on the street and alone in my stone cold bed
As this dark winter embraces me my heart loses all hope
Lips all around me speak of life, my ears are deaf to their bleating
I am the leper waiting for crumbs to fall from hopes table
Crashing and dying I spill my blood on this page
If I had the strength deep within lays a smoldering rage
But I am the leper again and no ear hears this pain
My body heaves with waves of grief pounding
My head constantly throbs as anguish makes its home
I am the leper again and this stain is on my shirt.
Pieces fall off of me out on the open road
Dogs eat my rotten flesh in the gathering place
What hope lies in this leper’s fate?
Its only when the incarnate One touches me again.

And Tuesdays were his "play with the Mexican kids" day. Fucking creep:

9. Creepy comment too:
That's awesome. I just got to spend a week with a bunch of kids in Newark, NJ. It wore me out but it was good for my heart. These kids live in a community where the teachers (who we talked to quite a bit because we got to work in the school) and parents and siblings have no hope for them. The teachers, over and over again said "These kids have no focus. We can't do anything with them. They just fight with each other all the time, so we don't have any time to teach them anything." They didn't get that the kids were starving for attention, whether it was good or bad, because a lot of them only new the bad. Now I'm pretty sure I want to move there, because giving them the good attention gave me so much joy. You're right, God does use children to break us down.

6. WTF is an *immoral purpose*? Was he teaching her to play poker?
My FSM are we so hung up on sexuality in this country in 2009 we can't call a crime what it is? It's the fucking hoo-hoo monologues all over again.

No wonder we be so messed up.

7. So Satan made him do it
Rushicans are never responsible for their own actions. There is always someone or something else to blame - in this case their imaginary nemesis. :puke:

8. an old and dear friend of mine
who is also a Fundy ( yes it is possible) told me just yesterday about a Youth Pastor diddling around with a teen age girl in the congregation. These people are so sexually repressed it is bound to come out in unsavory ways.

It just highlights the hypocracy and narrow mindness of the judgmental and repressed ommunity

11. Another day, another diddler for Jay-Zuss
Just like clockwork, another day, another Christian pastor gets caught doing the dingle dangle dingle that his Book o' Fractured Fairy Tales tells him is a no-no. Typical Christian, no doubt we'll hear him do the same ol' Jimmy Swaggart "Ah have synned uh gainst U" shit and the brainwashed congregation will forgive him and let him get away with it.

No religion is phonier than Christianity.
