I was looking at a thread, and someone had written at the bottom.."grateful for hope"
It was the moderator's name..but, are we still grateful?. Hope is still there, and change is far more likely to come than before. Some change has arrived. In our worry and anxiety about the present,(and we have real reason..) let us not give up hope.

1. Our society is all about instant gratification. |

Real change - lasting change - takes time. I am not sure Americans are up to it as evidenced by the drum-beating over Obama's handling of the economy after 5 months in office. They are screaming "failure" which is preposterous. Things were really, really bad when Obama took office yet they seem to expect he should have everything fixed by now.
I still have hope and I also recognize it's going to take a lot of time.

Real change takes time. This life is not, Mc Donalds. (you get your burger in 5 minutes) You don't grow up in five minutes. You grow up in years.
The industrial revolution took decades
Coming out of the Dark Ages took centuries.
But changing the economy and our political system,.. oh lets do it in a few months.
I also recognize it's going to take a lot of time.
