Today I got 40 warnings in my e-mail.

anything in a powder mix which contains non-fat dry milk seems to be suspect.

Herring Produce, Lake Park, Georgia is voluntarily recalling production lot number 0801206 of whole Anaheim Peppers out of an abundance of precaution because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the Herring Produce Anaheim Pepper products and the company is working with FDA to inform all retail consumers of this recall .

4. salmonella isn't naturally present in milk, & pasteurization & transformation to powder would have

removed it even if it was.

this is industrial contamination.

LOTS of salmonella recalls in the past 6 months.
Including the peppers that I mentioned, above.
And the spinach, and strawberries, etc.

The milk recall is all coming from one plant, btw....

5. Years ago, I heard someone say "Humans are the only species that never

stops nursing." It really changed my attitude about milk and cheese! Stopped milk completely, and reduced cheese consumption to something like 1/15th of former level. Bonus: I feel better overall.
