Anyone familiar with the 2010 races?
Are we in danger of losing any seats/offices?

Either on the federal or state level?

Any race that may need extra help donation/attention-wise?

3. Nooooooooo!
Poor Kansas.

Although, without Kansas, California wouldn't look so good (fucking Prop H8).

6. Our state party is not doing much to fight him
No viable candidates. No rush to find anyone to run against him. It's pretty disheartening.

11. Did Sebelius not groom a successor?
Did she not mentor a prodigy or something?

21. Well, I hope they get going soon.
You won't want another Prop H8 to sneak up on you like it did for California Dems.

2. Check out Nate Silver's website (Five Thirty-Eight)...I believe he's got
a rundown.

There are a few states we've got problems in, but nothing that can't be fixed if we put in the work.

4. It is pretty early but:
MN 1: DFL-Walz, probably safe for DFL but close race again
MN 2: R-Kline, probably safe for the R's
MN 3: R-Paulsen, close race but probably safe for the R's
MN 4: DFL-McCullum, safe for DFL
MN 5: DFL - Ellison, safe for DFL
MN 6: R- Bachmann - as nutty as she is, she is probably safe
MN 7: DFL - Peterson, safe for DFL
MN 8: DFL- Oberstar, safe for DFL

MN Governor's race: Currently wide open and needs time to be clearer.

22. Massa NY-29
I hope people can realize the difficulty of repeating wins in tough. gerrymandered, media hostile districts. Next time we are not facing an openly repulsive stooge but the kind of safely popular GOP mayor that can nearly automatically regain the kneejerk loyalty in this highly GOP district. Few Dems much less the GOP are going it without any corporate sponsors. Yes mass is constantly appealing to his backers, the people of his district. ActBlue has 476 donors for about $77000 listed. Time Warner, which he took on big time and stopped a metered pricing scheme most people here just accepted as a done deal after Texas and Carolina caved to the scam- could sneeze that much toward the GOP.

We have people power and only people money and grass roots can hope to compete- and win- against the still stacked deck. It wasn't just Massa that beat back the pricing scheme but the response of the people. The forces arrayed against Massa, besides the local heavily advantaged GOP smarm, are fierce and justified in thinking they have a very good chance to shove him aside.

I don't know about other districts, but the hard work and sacrifice has just begun, the issue very uncertain, but especially hopeless if we rest and do nothing.

27. Yes, and to not vote for him if he wins the primary means you will have a Rethug
Say what you will about Dodd, he is way progressive compared to Simmons. The answer is to get a good person to run in a primary with him. But I will never ever waste my vote and let a Rethug win after 2000. Al Gore was different then Bush after all, enough said.

fat denny the fixer`s kid is running for his olds house seat. foster just made it in last year and things are pretty sad in this district.

the obama/burris seat should go to a "clean" democratic candidate.

28. I think the Senate has 15 contested seats, 9 R's and 6 D's so we are in good shape there
odds are we will lose some House seats but we should still hold a majority.

Keeping the Senate at 60 or higher is my main focus and it looks good ATM
