NEW!! You may read recent letters and articles by members of "Team 3" by clicking on the YWAM Leaders link in the "Inside YWAM" section of the homepage, or by clicking the above link.
YWAM International is led by "Team 3," with Lynn Green serving as the International Chairman; John Dawson, as the International President, and Iain Muir as the International Director. The Founders of the Mission, Loren and Darlene Cunningham, are active members of the GLT and serve as advisers and work closely with "Team 3."
In addition to "Team 3," YWAM has leaders who serve in many capacities and locations, whether they lead a YWAM Center or ministry in a particular city, or have leadership over a nation, a region, or a field. YWAM's top leadership group is called the Global Leadership Team (GLT). Made up of about 45 members, all of whom are active YWAM staff, the composition of this group is a mix of leaders of international YWAM ministries and leaders of YWAM regions. There are both men and women in the GLT, of many different citizenships, working in virtually every region of the world. The GLT meets once a year, in a different part of the world each year, to pray, discuss vision and address major trends and issues. GLT task forces, formed around each of the GLT's six major functions, meet year-round. An Executive Committee of the GLT meets prior to the annual GLT meeting.

Values and philosophy
YWAM leaders assert that “the unique family characteristics of YWAM—our ‘DNA’”<26> are represented in a document titled, "The Foundational Values of Youth With A Mission." According to this document, “These shared beliefs and values are the guiding principles for both the past and future growth of our mission ... They are values we hold in high regard which determine who we are, how we live and how we make decisions.”<26> In February 2004, the Global Leadership Team released a revised statement of YWAM’s Foundational Values. A summary of these is as follows:
1) Know God, 2) Make God Known, 3) Hear God's Voice, 4) Practice Worship and Intercessory Prayer, 5) Be Visionary, 6) Champion Young People, 7) Be Broad-Structured and Decentralized, 8) Be International and Interdenominational, 9) Have a Biblical Worldview 10) Function in Teams, 11) Exhibit Servant Leadership, 12) Do First, Then Teach, 13) Be Relationship-Oriented, 14) Value The Individual, 15) Value Families 16) Rely on Relationship-based Support, 17) Practice Hospitality<26>
Sara Diamond, citing an interview with Gary North, states that YWAM "sees its role as an on-the-ground combat force against liberation theology."<27> Lynn Green, speaking on behalf of YWAM, disagreed that post-modernism is detrimental to youth, because of its oppositions to scientific materialism.<9[br />

Besides his documentary credits in more than 40 countries, Cunningham has also directed several feature films including To End All Wars (2001) and the TV miniseries The Path to 9/11 (2006). Cunningham is represented by the United Talent Agency.<1>

The project aired under much controversy. Critics said it fictionalized the lead-up to the September 11, 2001 attacks in order to direct blame to the Clinton administration.<14>. Although Nowrasteh's screenplay for The Path to 9/11 was billed by the ABC network as having been "based on the 9/11 Commission Report", there were multiple accusations that the screenplay evidenced political bias because of its contrafactual portrayal of events.<15>

YWAM is working with BENNY HINN!!
YWAM and Benny Hinn agree to work together!
Benny Hinn’s new target audience is the youth; and who has been involved with the youth more than the missionary organization YWAM. They have done a good job in evangelizing in the past but something very different is now taking place.
On Jan. 10, 2002 here in Hawaii Hinn speaking of a prayer meeting of youth in Pasadena California “Joy you were there, Joy Dawson who is with YWAM is here.” Joy Dawson went up on stage and endorsed Hinn’s former outreach to the youth in California and his desire to have a youth service in Hawaii. Hinn stated that in the first service 20,000 youth showed up (he only expected 3,000). “Joy I want to let you know I'm going to come back to Honolulu and hold a youth service, I will announce it to ya” ( as of this day there has been no plan materialized).
A few days prior to Hinn’s crusade Joy Dawson appeared on LeSea broadcasting with Mike Murdock on one side and Hinn in the middle of them both. The week after Hinn was here in Hawaii both Joy Dawson and Loren Cunningham were on Hinn’s program with clips of the YWAM base (Christ for all Nations) here on the big Island of Hawaii.
