If Governor Palin Were President Palin
Saturday, July 11, 2009

Professor of Law, William A. Jacobson, of Cornell Law School is no fan of the disaster Øbama. He wrote a great piece describing how the anti-christ Øbama is driving this country off a cliff and this certainly would not happen if Palin was our President.

If Palin were President, we would not have:

• A debt and deficit rising so far out of proportion to historical norms as to threaten the near-and-long term viability of the country’s ability to service the debt without destroying the value of the dollar, and passing on to our children and grandchildren unsustainable burdens.

The conservadroids continue their descent into the "Land of Make Believe". I personally don't think Palin is qualified to run a hotdog stand, but that's just me.

3. Imagine Gomer Pyle as Secretary of Defense
That's somewhere in the neighborhood but Palin as President would be worse.

12. Pyle had a good heart.
I'd rather see him in that position than Palin. Remember Martin Sheen as Greg Stillson in "The Dead Zone" and how he, in a vision of the future, launched the ICBMs, saying, "The missiles are flying. Hallelujah, Hallelujah!"? That's exactly how I would envision a Palin administration.

14. Good point.
I remember that movie. But Stillson was thwarted, IIRC, by a man who could see the future.

Palin is the next pliable idiot, or at least one of them, that the neoconservatives hope to use to regain power.

5. I think she is well qualified to run a hot dog stand.
With her big mouth, she could demonstrate how to eat the hot dog. Of course it would have to be a one woman business because no one would want to work for her.

6. She'd make her kids do the work.
That way they'll have experience, so when she quits, someone can still work for a living.

7. Obama is now the Anti-Christ?
Just a year ago they were calling him the Messiah.

I do wish they'd make up their minds.

13. Yes, it wouldn't take long after
the media and the "other" party started to call for the real birth certificate of Trig. Then the radio talking heads calling her a secret secessionist and questioning her unorthodox religious views. Not to mention the questions reporters brought up, over and over again about her use of public funds while in office. The pressure would have done her in by now.

11. Our Economy Would Be Paralyzed...
What these right wing goons still don't understand is how bad their boooosh regime not only fleeced the treasury, but helped game the system that allowed for the foxes not only to run the henhouse but burn it down.

By last October...not November or last January, the economy was on the verge of meltdown...the market was crashing with no end in sight. The boooosh regime came up with a band-aid that put a "floor" on the collapse, but little else and even then the rushpublicans were against it.

So...if Mooselini were "president" (:scared:) and the GOOP had followed the Hoover blueprint of "letting the market fix itself", the Stock Market would have crashed to 3,000 or lower, unemployment would have shot up twice as high as it is now, millions more would not only be out of work, but there'd be little money either in investments or in government coffers to handle all the messes. Just think of all the jobs that would have been lost had they let GM & Chrysler totally implode. We'd be living in Thunderdome.

Every day I am greateful to see President Obama in charge rather than the jokers the rushpublicans were offering.
