Just how many "Special Prosecutors" are going to be required? |
|
While Holder mulls over his decision to appoint a Special Prosecutor to look into possible illegal activity surrounding our nation's torture of prisoners it held/holds, or not, I'm mulling over how many other activities of the past Administration warrant similar treatment. As of yesterday's papers it appears another one will be required to look into the last Vice President's activities concerning surveillance. Then there is the war - and the pallets of hundred dollar bills gone missing - that offerers opportunity galore for prosecution. How many do you need when one just won't do?

Torture - start out with one. Warrentless wiretapping - one. Halliburton - one. KBR - one. Iraq - one for the Big Lie, one for the missing $8.8 billion, one for Abu Gharib, one for Baghram, one for CIA black sites. Financial meltdown - one.
I'm guessing at least 10.

3. How many did Nuremburg require? |

OK, maybe the b-c cabal's activities weren't quite as extensive as Hitler's, but possibly as multifaceted.

4. As Many As It Takes... |

I see several IP needed. One to investigate the lies to Congress, another to look into the violation of civil rights, a third into abuses of power and so on. While the roots of these crimes all point to the boooosh regime, each crime has its own particular set of perps and victims and should be determined on a case by case basis.
