What areas/individuals would you want investigated in regards to the crimes committed behind the shield of "national security"?

5. Lisa Pease
is outstanding.

I'd like investigations that lift the curtains. There was a good start in the 1970s, but they were derailed and left incomplete. And that's why the infection on our democracy was able to mutate and spread.

6. So are you, my friend. Here's but one example of what mutated over time due to lack of treatment.

7. It never really disappeared.
Dean made that clear during his testimony to the Senate Watergate Committee. Nixon okayed it, then hedged, but it did become operational. And it is important for people to undertand, because it involves the coordination between all levels of intelligence/police agencies.

9. The rot set in pretty early. 'Operation Paperclip' accelerated the negative spiral into corporate
fascism.

8. "Bush Spying Releied on Faulty Theories" by Jason Leopold (7-12-09 Consortium News)
"George W. Bush justified his warrantless wiretapping by relying on Justice Department attorney John Yoo's theories of unlimited wartime powers, and started the spying operation even before Yoo issued a formal opinion, a government investigation discovered."

http://www.consortiumnews.com/2009/071209b.html

One obvious conclusion is that John Poindexter's Total Information Awareness networks have continued far beyond historical politicized domestic programs like Hoover era COINTELPRO'S and the Helms era CIA's Operation CHAOS in "listing" political enemies.

I assume the "lists" of persons of interest under these criminal "war on terrorism" policies have included people that were disappeared, tortured and murdered-including friends, associates, extended family members--like William Colby's PHOENIX program during the Vietnam War and the Kissinger, Negroponte, Armitage extrajudicial units in Latin America and Africa during the Cold War.

A question that has never been answered is what actions were undertaken on those that were on the various politicized lists of "enemies" that have been around for at least 60 years here in The United States of America? And where is the accountability???
