How do I avoid duplicate posts?
This has happened several times to me. Do you read all posts first? I scan the first page only. People do change the headline of the original post heading. I don't care to read all posts first before posting. Any suggestion?

2. Go to several likely forums and scan. For GD, you probably have to scan at least 5 pages.

The "find" function in your browser can be used next on several pages of GD. Some forums don't get much activity, so 1-2 pages suffices. Develop your ability to select good key words. (Simply scanning, as I said first, is the best first thing to do).
Also, the search function in the upper right corner can be used.

If you want to have a conversation, obviously, adding to an existing thread, if there is one, rather than creating a new one, is the way to do it. (Are you only posting to post? If so, why bother with this kind of a site?)

5. There's a search function
But I think you have to be a donating member to be able to use it. It's hard to avoid, though, when you post at about the same time as others. Often someone is posting when I'm still typing my posting. Don't sweat it. Jut edit your posting so the subject header reads "Dupe" and move on.
