Frost Nixon, and today...
We know it took David Frost to ask Nixon all the questions the American people had about Watergate. Why? That pardon. I am starting to wonder if Obama will pull a similar maneuver. From the point of view of keeping the matters of the state running, yes it makes sense, why Ford pardoned Nixon. But that would be just the final nail on whatever remains of the US systems of laws.

On the other hand, we are having increasing evidence that the US does have a shadow government. Yes, sometimes Conspiracies do fall into the category of criminal complaints My question will be,,, will our leadership, which is running an empire, actually follow the rule of law? Realize that weakens the Imperial presidency. Oh the tangled weave we weave huh?

But so far we know that the VEEP was not only running the state, highly unusual, but actually giving orders to elements of the state to lie to Congress.

Will see, but I am willing to bet that all this sound and fury, will lead to nothing... Empire... and its logic.

1. I've thought more often of Iran-Contra lately-
a private army, privately funded, for a war secretly run out of the White House and with military support in clear violation of the law and the congress. With minimal prosecutions, no impeachment, then made heroes by the press -and the lesson learned by those near to the scene was to be bolder and more secretive the next time. They knew they could get away with it. And it looks like they were right.

So the next time it happens, even worse, people will look back at this instance and repeat the same excuses all over again. It's out there already. And we've heard it before.
