Not too long ago, Dick Cheney and his daughter were all over the TV. More recently, it has been discovered that Cheney instructed the CIA to deceive Congress and now he can't be found anywhere.

In between that Sarah Palin suddenly aborts her job as governor of Alaska.

Did Palin quit to take the public attention off Dead-eye Dick?

I don't think this is related. Just coincidence that both their lives are imploding.

Palin did not complete her second term on the city council because she was elected mayor in 1996. Throughout her tenure on the city council and the rest of her career, Palin has been a registered Republican.

She is only out for herself, and unless serious leverage was brought to bear against her she wouldn't do something that major just for a little media attention.


This is a huge story, about Cheney. Therefore, the media will not need any help in failing to focus on it.
