Don't shout at me.....but what does that flaming symbol beside thread titles signify? |
|
Honest, I've tried to find out all by myself, but I've given up. And I can't work it out because I'm stupid.
It's on a par with me taking six months to realise U2's song MLK was about Martin Luther King.
Be nice, please.

Oh, sorry.
It means more than fifty people have responded to an OP, and the thread is "really heating up." A hot topic, like they said above.

7. A thread is designated "hot" once it gets 50 replies. |
|
Hot topics tend to stay kicked longer, get more views, etc.

By far the greatest mistake was my friend who just found out that "I saw mommy kissing Santa" was about Daddy being Santa.

The children are supposed to think mommy is kissing Santa and the adults are supposed to get the joke.
The best was how is came out. He was like "damn Mommy is a hoe kissing up on Santa like that".

|
Edited on Sun Jul-12-09 10:09 PM by SDuderstadt
I'm sure you've heard of "ruggedizing" a notebook computer? Well the latest is retrofitting a laptop with entirely non-flammable materials. It's expensive (about $35,000) but I can now click on those posts with the flame symbol with no worry whatsoever. It has made my "DU experience" much more enjoyable, especially when dealing with "truthers".
