If we keep score...?
The banks have $14 trillion dollars and the people have naught. No healthcare. No jobs. Nothing.

But the President tells us to be patient. However, many of us are about to run out of patience.

From a most personal point, some of us are nearing retirement age but we can't retire without making radical changes in our lives. We could be without a job anyday. Without a job and without health coverage.

That would not be so bad if we did not have to have expensive maintenance drugs to maintain our health. We could look for another job without concern for health coverage or not knowing even if you will be hired with your pre-existing condition. This is not to even mention the obstacle of age when looking for a job.

So if we are keeping score, we, the people, are far behind...

1. Sigh. A veiled complaint? All those who run out of patience
will. Some have realistic reasons, some don't.

If you think Obama was going to fix EVERYTHING in 6 months, then you should be disappointed, for not being realistic.

5. I guess I wasn't expecting everything to be fixed..?
I was just expecting something to be fixed. I was hoping they would pass health-care. I am deeply disappointed in the Congress right now.

6. Its not even set to be done until August. No way would we have health care done by now.
No undertaking something that big while trying to get the votes on it. The longer it takes, sometimes the more votes you can pick off for the public option.

8. Fer cryin' out loud. Do you know how huge the stakes are on
health care? Do you realize why it's not been passed? Do you recognize how ballsy Obama is to even attempt this? Did idiot son even try?

As for fixing stuff, go here, and it's only the first 100 days.

9. I know how high the stakes are on healthcare...

We have been putting chips into the pot for the last 60 years. We have reached the point where our health-care is taking about $1 out of every $7 that we make. It's more and more every year.

Finally the people vote to give up on the Repubs and put the Democrats in power. Not just in the White House but a good majority in the Senate and the House. At last, we can get a vote on health-care. But now, we see the Democrats wimping out once again. I say the people deserve healthcare. Now.

10. They're working on it. Patience please. We really don't have the
foggiest given this is so big, but we will soon. And it's still only been 6 months since the new president was confirmed.

2. Not to mention the military-industrial complex
They continue to get their trillions from our blood thirsty "leadership".

4. Yes, I understand BUT if we had Palin/McCain we would be in two more
wars, bought clothes for the spring for palin family and paid per diem for her to live at home - I have started searching again living in a country that has health care and what the requirements would be to go there and be covered because our government workers have huge retirement benefits and health care and therefore can not afford to help anyone not working for the government (This applies to Federal and State workers) Just read today how some retired school official is pulling down 500,000 a year in Retirement in Calif. They have over a 1000 people pulling down over six figures in retirement - they helped get us in this mess and they are taking all the money.
