limmerick attack
There once was was a man named San-ford.
Who had him a wife he ignored.
instead of a trail
he was after some tail
with a hot latina he adored.

Sarah P was a governor who quit
and ended up looking a twit
her own party she'll found
but it's starting to sound
like the GOP she will split.

The people of Iran were shot down by the cheats.
The people of Honduras suffered more defeat.
But the cameras weren't around.
they were all to be found
following Michael's coffin down the street.

Our health care in Washington they start to discuss.
but to looks like the bluedogs are causing a fuss
they call themselves dems
we are out on a limb
while they take pay-offs to screw us.

There is a dumb bunch called freep.
who pile it up wide and deep.
they launch an attack
to stab in the back
and run back to their stinking dung heap.

I love writing limricks, I won't pretend
but some think they're dumb, I comprehend.
hard I have worked
but those that I've irked
can always hit unrecommend.

1. Another.
There once was a man named Dick.
who was interviewed to the point that it made me sick.
but now that the spies
told us of his lies
he has pulled his disappearing trick.

There once was a poster on DU
And i think the poster was you

at an unfortunate time
and was unrecommended by people in a stew.

5. answer
unrecommend is a feature that I
see all the commotion and let out a sigh
it's not a concern
because I have learned
not to care about negative replies.

7. Back at ya
Well now that makes a lot of sense.
to always sit on the fence
Cause way down below
the shit does flow
in the state of present tense.

9. clever
the Image of your rhyme was much neater
But implore you to be not a cheater.
the point of a rhyme
most of the time
is to do it with the perfect meter.

The economy is as bad as I've ever seen.
the job opportunities are pretty lean.
when the GOP looks
those dirty old crooks
all they see is a welfare queen.

4. And again
Oh Carpenter one poster said
I think it is all in your head.
it is only lean
If you don't make the scene
And now I am going to bed

bed sounds like a wonderful thought.
but sometimes sleep is fruitlessly sought.
I lay awake nights
with a case of the frights
over what wall street has wrought.

8. And one more
Well now you got me awake
With your rhyming political take
Just one more reply
And I will ask you why
you have this lyrical take?

There once was a guy who was bored
real fun he could no longer afford.
with free time by the ton
the only thing that was fun
was posting rhymes on this liberal board.

I'm kind of fired up with this limerick game.
Is there anyone else who feels just the same?
I love to make rhymes.
criticizing the times.
if this is the last rhyme it's a shame.

13. Another one about Palin -- such a juicy target
Now Palin is free to campaign.
She’s the engine on that right-wing train.
She can speak against Deeds,
But not do any deeds,
Because governing is such a pain.

(In case my reference sailed over anyone's head: There's been talk about Palin going to Virginia to campaign for the Republican candidate in this year's election for Governor. The Democratic candidate is .)

15. One for this morning
Jeff is a guy who'll imply
that in Sonia we can't rely
he speaks for the whites
who care nothing for rights
of minorities they seek to deny.

16. There once was a more-equal swine
There once was a more-equal swine
Who frequented discussions online
He said, "You'd better cast pearls,
Or down the drain your post swirls"
To make more room for I, me and mine.

who poked fun at the crooks in DC
he also was irate
at his bitter fate
to lose his home and his J. O. B.
