It's a worse version of "ignore", because it tries to pile on unpopular opinions and group-tyranny them right into the ground. There's plenty of self-congratulatory echo-chambering going on around here, and some of us like to hear what's actually being felt by others, rather than the momentary groundswell of faddish opinion.
Much as I disagree with many opinions and individuals themselves, I want to hear what's really out there. I don't want the place to be some sort of rancorous brawl, but some civil discord is a fine thing.
