People did NOT "hammer" the young pregnant daughter.. Most people could not have cared less about her pregnancy. What "people" were "curious" about were the miraculously "odd" pregnancy of Sarah, and the utter hypocrisy of SARAH's "preaching" about abstinence.
MOST liberals felt sorry for that poor girl, to have to be trotted out in public for the sake of a publicity-hungry mother's gratification. Most mothers would have told John "Thanks, but no thanks!", and preserved what privacy a governor's daughter could muster.

anyone catch him say "African Americans will not be showing up in large numbers to vote next time ". Aren't African Americans the most reliable part of the Democratic voting base? This is the second time he has made that claim, and no one calls him on it. He's just saying "Yeah, these people are not interested in politics, just the first African American president." Ugh. I agree that he always makes these "EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF HER FAMILY WAS DESTROYED!" claims, while never providing any evidence.

that's such a crutch by her defenders to wave off what we're really talking about when it comes to her many shortcomings. Also, Mika was saying that Frank Rich "took a shot" at Palin's daughter in his column, but she didn't read that part of the column today, conveniently. What is she talking about?

they questioned how an "abstinence-only" advocate ended up with a grandchild by her teen daughter who apparently didn't follow Mommy's advice ...
(and from what I heard in my Alaskan vacation in 2008, it's hard to NOT know pretty much everybody in town in Alaska ...)
