Was just reading another forum when it suddenly seemed to come under attack
I was reading some new posts on another forum (not in any way related to this or any other political site) when it seemed to come under attack from odd posters. All the posts were 1st-time-ers, some indicating they came from Oman, and they were just a paragraph or two of nonsensical words strung together as portions of phrases but with no particular form or message. There were lots of them and they answered themselves with equally nonsensical replies. It appeared to be an attempt to overload the system Very odd. This was about as non-controversial a web site as could be imagined, it is a place where people share experiences in auto body repair and the proper use of paint products, hardly a hot-bed of political dissent.

4. Could someone have been testing a method?
One might hope Elad sees this OP and looks into possible ramifications.

Hasn't North Korea been trying to test cyber-attack methods?

8. Bots
Especially if the message board doesn't implement CAPTCHA during the signup/confirmation porcess. These day, bots are intelligent enough to sign up, open and click a confirmation email, set up a password and begin posting en masse.
