to an eleven year old girl that has never harmed anyone in any fashion? Freepers defense of their hostility is that we attacked Palin's children also. I do not recall a single time any other child but Bristol was ever attacked and Bristol is over eighteen and a Mother...She also has chosen to make speeches about abstinence which clearly puts her into the political arena..

I doubt Brisol wanted to be in the spotlight but was put up to it by her Mother. When I was 18 my mother still had a huge influence on me.

But to be frank, I think kids should be left out of political attacks- period.

And I can't fathom the logic behind parading out your kids when running for political office. I suppose the thought is that it proves you're a "family person." But really- all it does is prove that you're capable of reproduction. If I had any political aspirations, I would do my damndest to be sure that my son was isolated from all of that- PROTECT him from having his privacy invaded; NOT encourage and enable it.

For the greatest part, I don't think the Obamas have gone out of their way to parade their children around. Have they done all that they can to deflect media attention? Honestly, I don't know. In this information-hungry age, it's got to be difficult to do.

Palin, OTOH- She whores those children out like a pimp in a shiny polyester suit. Sorry if the analogy offends anybody, but it's as accurate as I can be.
