Vatican reacts against irony in italian public TG news report on Pope's vacation
here is the italian Rai TG3 report's final words on the Pope enjoying vacation in Val D'Aosta, translated by me:

The Pope will enjoy the coolness of the mountains, a new piano, a sun umbrella to dine and read under, a bbque and two cats.
they will put a smile on his face, at least as much as the proverbial 4 cats , maybe more, who still have the courage and patience to listen to his words.

("Il Pontefice troverà il fresco delle montagne, un pianoforte nuovo, un ombrellone sotto cui mangiare e leggere, un barbecue e due gatti. Gli strapperanno un sorriso, almeno quanto i proverbiali quattro gatti, forse un po' di più, che hanno ancora il coraggio e la pazienza di ascoltare le sue parole", source: L'Unità, http://www.unita.it/news/86378/i_gatti_che_ascoltano_il_papa_polemica_per_un_servizio_del_tg)

haha :) wow. at least not careful, the poor journalist.
the director of the TG3 said his news has always had respectful attention for the Pope, and the Vatican spokesman showed he's satisfied by the indirect excuse.

"4 cats" is an italian idiom and means "very very few people".

1. Gatto in general is used idiomatically to show the lack of attention to something
For instance, non c'era neanche un gatto al concerto di Madonna (there wasn't a soul at Madonna's concert).
