How will a "forward looking" Obama ever see what is going on "behind his back"

So Cheney ordered the CIA to keep quiet, and presumably they have even up until now. Effectively Cheney has, for the past 6 months, been working with the CIA behind Obama's back.

I think Obama had better soon rethink his "only look forward" strategy.
