I Think Jonathan Alter From Newsweek Just Put it Together on KO
Edited on Mon Jul-13-09 07:30 PM by PopSixSquish
Keith asked him that if the "level of astonishment" on the part of those members of Congress was on par with the possiblity of assasination squads and although he took great pains to state that he doesn't know for certain but did link "this program" to the story of the killing prisoners on Afgahnistan which Obama has said that we will investigate.

The thought of this makes my blood run cold. While everyone was yelling about Gitmo, what was going on in other unknown prisons? And isn't it interesting that many of the prisoners at Gitmo seem to be "lower-level" folks rather than the higher ups with a few notable exceptions?

This would be the equivalent of the US killing Japanese or German prisoners in WWII even though this war was never declared.

And that would certainly explain President Obama's hesitancy to pursue investigations. My God, can you imagine what would happen to our servicemen and women if they were captured in Afghanistan or Iraq after something like this came out?

I'm not saying any of this is true and I hope to God it isn't but the hair on the back of my neck is standing up...

6. No one would care about POWs? I would especially since many were swept up
w/o legitimate reason or sold for a bounty. Regardless of what bu$h or cheney thought, we are signatories to the Geneva Convention and it is not only immoral but illegal to kill POWs.

As you probably know, http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2009/07/13/Doctors-demand-inquest-into-Kelly-death/UPI-32461247501178/">but others may not.

That same horrific path could conceivably lead to others ... like Daniel Pearl.

(On Edit: Nearly forgot, welcome to DU.)

4. Ya Know... UNFORTUNATELY "We The People" Are Exposed To MORE Information
about the deaths of people like Michael Jackson than we are about what America USED TO STAND FOR!!

Don't misunderstand, I'm a "hippie" type white woman who felt Jackson was a person of enormous talent, he really dazzled me with his talent, BUT here in AMERICA... our media DOES a much better job of following "dazzle" than it does following what it actually means when the a real DICTATOR has run this country into the ground!!

And let me say further, and it PAINS me to say this, it seems that Eric Holder is trying to find almost every way to squirm his way around facing REALITY!! However, one MUST NOT blame only Eric Holder, it goes much deeper and gets more sinister (in my mind) as to THE WHY the DEMANDS are NOT being made, or WHY Congress and THIS Administration is UNWILLING to "GTST" (Get Their Shit Together) and DO THE RIGHT THING!!!! If not now?? The WHEN THE HELL????

Once again, America has become a nation that stand for De-MOCK-CRAZY!!! Justice = JUST-ICE!!!

One of the SCREWN and who thinks it's time to "lock & load!" And I HATE guns!!!
