Anybody see the Henry Rifle commercial on Countdown?
They had a wonderful commercial with lots of metal-machining eye candy showing the manufacture of their made in America rifles. But there was a problem. The commercial showed a web address of http://www.henry-guns.com/833. That addy does not work. I tried additional combinations of numbers in case I misread but to no avail. Of course, I know that the 833 is just a way of tracking what web page views corresponded to what commercial, and by just leaving it off I got straight to the web site. So, I went to the contact page and let them know that I saw their commercial on the MSNBC Countdown program and they should check the web addy. I just wanted to know that the ad at that time, across various channels including Countdown, had been seen. But what if it WAS exclusive to Countdown? I don't know if it was or was not, but I was not gonna let Olberman not get credit for the page click if it was exclusive.

Just taking care of Olbermann and his advertisers.

Nice rifles, too. http://www.henry-guns.com

1. I didn't see it.
Either I missed it, TiVo'd through it, or else it was shown only in certain markets.

2. http://www.henry-guns.com/?833
Put a question mark before the 833. That identifies it to the server as a passed variable value.

3. I did!
I wondered if it was a local DirecTV break here because there was no mention of it until now.

12. The original Henry rifle was the ancestor of all the lever action Winchesters
that played a prominent role in the old west. It was derived from the Smith & Wesson "Volcanic" lever action rifle that was patented in the 1850's and was intorduced but not widely used, during the Civil War. It was manufactured in all the popular calibers of the day but was looked upon with disfavor because it had a front loading magazine. It had the same toggle/lever loading/ejection action that was used in the 1866 Winchester (Yellow Boy) and all subsequent Winchesters until the 1880's.

The present day Henry rifles are manufactured mostly in .22 LR although a larger version is available.
