Former Rep Largent (R-OK)- wilful adulterers not welcome at C Street but keeping political office OK
Largent says he encouraged Nevada Senator to end affair

"We are all very good friends. He (Ensign) was wandering off the reservation," he explained. "Our feeling is that if anybody does that and does it willfully that we are asking them not to live at C Street anymore."

Largent said each of the men who live in the house has given others "license" to confront each other if "there's something going on that shouldn't be going in someone's life."

Asked if Ensign and Sanford should resign, Largent described that concern as secondary.

"First of all, my biggest concern is about their personal well being and their families' well being," he said.

"Beyond that, whether they stay in office or not, I think that's a calculation that only they can make."

1. Well. At least they have some scruples
Too bad they don't have any on democracy, social issues or justice.

14. I'm not saying he's a hypocrite
But his chosen organization is a blight on the face of humanity.

6. Meanwhile, I can pretty much guarantee you that Ensign hasn't
moved his things out of C Street, lol. This is all about appearances.

7. Without a football in his hands, Steve Largent is a miserable human being.
Sorry to anybody here from Oklahoma, but thank God he moved back there when he retired from the NFL!

8. Another Seahawks fan who wishes former Rep. Largent would shut his pie hole
Of course, the only people who resign in disgrace after an adulterous affair are Democrats.

9. All I know for sure is we dodged a big one with Largent
The republicons were telling us that Steve was going to be our next governor when Frank Keating left but we surprised them and elected our present governor, Democrat Brad Henry.

10. Yes, we owe Gary Richardson
a debt of gratitude for pulling enough RW support away from Largent in 2002 that gave Brad Henry a chance to beat the heavily favored Largent... as well as advisers that helped make sure Henry made the most of the opportunity. Of course Henry has pretty much been republican-lite, but he wouldn't have been reelected otherwise out here in Limbaugh Land.

16. Definition: Willful Adulterers...
...those who do not have to be spanked into submission but willingly (without velvet cuffs) follow the female temptress into her lair for purposes of willful hanky panky outside of the marriage bed, but in the bed of debauchery.
