The PERFECT Job for Palin--and it ain't being Rachel Maddow!
Talking heads keep pushing for Palin to have a cable political talk show. That would be like wasting Rachel Maddow's training and gifts for political insight on a cooking show (a gift that Rachel admits is not her strong point)! I have the perfect one for Sarah so she can use her strong point:

She should have a Jerry Springer-type show (apologies to Jerry who has more intelligence in his little finger than she has in her whole wasted brain). But just think about this...........

Palin is the Queen of the proverbial "white trash". She thinks if she dresses pretty and slathers on make-up it makes her "sophisticated" and "smart". She's arrogant. Every time she opens her mouth, "dumb" falls out. She is lazy. She never finishes a job. Her life is "white trash" on roller skates, ie., "gonna a get that trooper that done did wrong by my sister"; "gonna fight that teenager that knocked up my daughter and is now bad mouthing Big Momma"; "gonna go out and buy a bunch of stuff can't afford on a GOP credit card"...and the list goes on.

Seriously, have you noted that not only are the GOP ambitious men politicans trying to destroy any competition from her; BUT the cable right wing news guys are also trying to kill her off because they fear she will take their jobs! Hey, they created and promoted this clown and now they can't suff her back in the bottle. I love it..........

3. rural---hmmmm, rethinking
I'm now rethinking the "Springer" thing. I think it would be "must see TV" to have a show hosted by both Rachel and Palin. In one show, the country would be able to see what the difference is between Republican mentality and thinking, intelligent discourse.

9. Here is a problem with that - perception
I was talking with a friend the other day about how most of us are so good on policy. We have facts, we know nuance, we decimate the opposition in any face off based on what is true. Why then does the RW continue to pull the kinds of numbers they do?
Perception shaped by the media.
The media is pretty much owned lock, stock and barrel by the RW. With the exception of NPR which acts like a mouse most of the time.
So wingers can say or do the stupidest most incredibly strange things and by the time the media is done spinning it sounds sane, normal and middle of the road.
While at the other time our small slice of media goes out of its way to be fair and accurate.
How else could a total fuck up like Palin ever get elected governor, let alone be picked to be VP. And after all her shenanigans still be considered a viable candidate for the most important job in the world?
How else could Cheney be outed as running a shadow government including spies and assassins and still be considered innocent by half the country?
Plame? etc.
For god's sake, how could a dry drunk with no life time accomplishments be elected governor of Texas and then president?

4. She could fill in for Elizabeth Hasselbeck on the View
I mean it can't get any worse than that bimbo. I think Sarah and Elizabeth speak the same confusing language.

5. Lynne
Don't think I hadn't thought the same thing many times. No wonder those two adore each other. If I were an accomplished, intelligent Republican (like Olympia Snowe, etc.), I would be so disgusted that this is the only type of women the Republicans can "believe in"---the clueless, bimbo type.

6. Why Olympia Snow and Susan Collins are still republicans just baffles me
These women are both old-school republicans - back when republicans believed in smaller government and less interference on ALL issues. If I lived in Maine, I wouldn't vote for either of them simply because I can't bring myself to vote republican anymore. But after having Rick Santorum for 8 years, well those 2 look like angels.

8. Lynee--I live in Maine
Actually, when it comes to Senate I make myself vote for the Democrat because we just plain need numbers but do not mind Snowe at all. She has really always been fighting for Maine. Collins, I'm beginning to not like---too much being in "pics" with Bush (if you know what I mean). Ironically, the Repuke who really screwed this state was Olympia's husband (Jock McKernan) when he was govenor. He was one lazy bastard----friend was in the legislature at the time and tells about how he would have his "driver", drive him around all day so he could sleep and not conduct business. All he wanted was to rob the state pension funds to give tax breaks to the rich.

10. I have the same thing in Delaware with Rep Mike Castle
I won't vote for the guy but I have to admit that I do like him. He's pro-choice, which automaticallly removes the 'vile' word I use to describe most Republicans. But Castle is like a favorite grandfather that everyone knows and likes. He's a good person. But I still won't vote for him.

BTW true story! About 2 weeks ago I had my picture taken with all 3 of my DC reps (and Biden too but a separate picture). All the DE politicians do the Italian Festival Parade, which passes right by my house. I saw Sen Ted Kauffman and asked for a picture but before it was taken, both Sen Carper and Rep Castle passed by and joined in the picture. After the shot was done I thanked everyone and when I shook Castle's hand I asked him (in front of Carper and Kaufmann) "When are you joining the Democratic Party - you know you'll fit in better with us than the Republicans". They all had a good laugh!

7. Levi is the smartest of the whole pack
He says Sarah quit to have her own reality TV show. Hell, he's right, she already has it. Its on every channel 24 hours a day and it makes the dysfunction of Pete and Kate learn to skate or whatever the hell its called look like the Cleaver family.

12. the one problem with Sarah Palin and Rachel Maddow on the same show
is that Rachel's audience for the most part thinks that Palin's a twit. Palin would draw the fundamentalist audience who would boycott Rachel's show just because she's gay.

Besides why waste Rachel Maddow's talent on Palin?

Let Palin have a show on Faux or TLC's new show "Todd and Sarah plus 6"
